The Hamptons ATA demo team

Ashie and Dyl love Karate - Brookie takes it, but is less than thrilled. I told her when she gets her black belt, she can quit. I want her to know how to defend herself. The other two however both tried out and made the demo team for Karate. This means they march in the parade and put on a little show or go to other places and put on a show to try to get new members.

My mom! Yesterday my FIL scanned this picture for us. Daddy wanted to do something with mommy's picture and the rosary beads I got for her funeral. She was very beautiful when she was younger. I figured I would share this.

Happy Easter!!

Of all the pictures I took today, this is the one I wanted to post. These are two of the best peoply you could ever meet. Ladies and Gentlemen, My inlaws. I know a lot of people have issues with their inlaws, but I count myself among the lucky few. When Michael and I got engaged, one of the first things my Mother in Law said was "I have a grandson" They will do anything for anyone - no questions asked. My darling husband even asked my father to poick me up some feminine hygene products when we were in Florida 6 years ago - talk about embarassing. What did pop say? Don't ever be embarassed to ask me for anything. When they heard that Anthony was engaged my mother in law said "I will be around to see my Great Grand Children" Now of course keep in mind, my husband is not my son's father - you could never tell by my inlaws. I have truly been blessed with to get such wonderful people in my life

My new favorite thing to do. I love having a table cloth that looks nice, so for Christmas I bought a nice one and then bought a clear plastic one to go on top - truth be told it was so my daddy wouldn't spill wine on my new tablecloth. To make it look more presentabe, I put some of the girls Holiday art work under the clear plastic. I received so many compliments that I decided to do it again for Easter. The chicks in eggs are from the twins in Kindergarten and the colored eggs are from this year. I think I also want to start putting pictures from previous years under there too.

My Closet

Well, I bought a shoe rack on Friday, so I tackled my closet. All the boxes went out and the shoes went on a rack - except my boots. Then I thought I would go through and get rid of some of the clothes that I no longer wear. Of course, that got me to thinking. My husband has way more clothes than I do. I have less than half of our closet and the has the rest and a cedar clostet he built for himself downstairs - almots all - there are two communion dresses down there. He also has four drawers of our dresser (4 out of 9) plus two drawers downstairs in another dresser. OMG!!!

Top O' the Morning To You

We love St. Patricks day around here. In the morning I told the girls that when they got ready for their day, they would be allowed to go into my St. Pats box and pick out some stuff to wear. So they did. Dyl's teacher saw me with my earings and Shamrock sun glasses and green boots and my green whistle and necklaces and said "Now I know where she get's it from" But this is how my girls looked when they headed out. Dyl said I had to take a picture of her by herself too.

The Artist

So I was away for the weekend, and I got Dyl a new rubber duck. A little guy for St. Patricks day. Of course I got home Sunday night and gave it to her and let her take a bath. She decided to draw her new duck and her Zebra duck while she was in there. How did she do? LOL!!!

March 9

Little Miss Bling

So she dresses herself for Religion and this is how she looks. then she proceeds to sing a little song about Let the little girl dance. Quite funny. She has her whole Hip Hip thing down!

March 8

Girl Scout Cookies

So I thought it was great that the girls sold over 170 boxes of cookies. I emailed everyone and the girls asked the teachers in school. This is what I get - boxes and boxes of cookies - and while this pile was a little over whelming - as I go to start dividing up cookies I realize - they didn't give me any Thin Mints - Well, I guess it is easy to over look 53 boxes - yeah - that is another 4 cases and a few boxes - Oh great so now I have to wait till I get the rest of the cookies so that I can get them out of my house - because of course everyone except 4 people had thin mints in their order.

March 6

So here I am. I am not happy with the way I look, but I figured I would do something different and post a picture of me. If anything were to happen to me my kids would not remember me - I am always the one taking pictures. The same thing for my FIL . He is always taking pictures so no one sees him. When I was making my elfs at Christmas, I didn't have one picture of him or myself from the year before! So my goal is to try a little harder on my diet so I can feel better about myself so I can have a picture taken once in a while!!

March 5

Not a great picture but for some reason this just struck me as funny. Hubby bought these cute little t bags for himself. They are little pyramids. Yes the box says Pyramids, but I thought it was folded but they are actually in the box like this. I don't know how they taste since I really don't like to mess with my tea!

Something I can't understand. Why is it that conditioner bottles are made to sit upside down so that you get every last bit of it, but not shampoo bottles??? I didn't but these my sil did in Florida, but if I had bought this and paid almost $4 a bottle, I would want to get every last drop of both. I personally put my bottles upside down anyway to make sure I get the most of it. I am just not sure why everything isn't set up lke this!!!

Didn't bring my camera with me today so this is all I have. My nails. For some reason I chose to get Acrylic nails about two months ago. Yes, I am one of those women from the Hamptons. LOL!! I wanted them since I went to get a pedi a while ago and the girl who did them had these really sparkly nails. I love Sparkles. I am a little bit of a fag like that. When I go out I have glittery make up - you name it - an dI have it with sparkles - Glittery eye liner (silver and gold) , lip gloss, mascara - I even have glittery blue eye shadow that no one wears any more - but its glittery and I had to have it. So I have the Acrylic nails - but... the acrylic that I bought has sparkles right in it. No need for anything more than a clear polish. When we were in Florida, I went for a fill and the woman was scrubbing my nail thinking it was polish. I am thinking of buying some with blue sparlky stars in it for my son's wedding. I think it will look nice with my dress. But we will see. I know, not very exciting, but that is what I got for today.

March 2

Today the twins came home with their certificated from their First Communion and their First Reconciliation. That is great - Notice todays date and the date on the certificate. Is 22 month the normal turn around time for something like this????

February 29

My son's new idea of fun. Get on his sisters scooter and have the dogs pull him up and down the block.

He wraps the leash around the handle and the dog runs. Of course he tried it with his littest sister on her bike and the dog knocked her over - not a good plan. I will confess that I tried it and it takes some doing, but it is fun!!

February 25

Ok, I need three pictures from this day - the one pic of the three of them came out blurry. I have never seen kids so excited to go back to school after vacation. They can't wait to show off their new clothes that they bought when they went shopping with Aunt Tam. Yeah, My sister in law took all three of them shopping for clothes one day - then the next day she took them shopping for shoes - I think she is nuts. She loves to shop though, so it worked for everyone - especially me who sat by the pool and read!! LOL!!

February 24

Vacation is really over - got to Virginia and it was cold. The girls wanted me to take a picture of their "sad" faces.

February 23

Caught the train to head back home. We were going to let Brookie sleep on the luggage rack, but someone ratted her out. Someone came over and told her she had to get down "right now" There was a nosy little girl walking up and down the aisles peeking at everyone and everything so I think it was her. The next morning we saw a bigger kid climb down - he must have gone up when no one was looking

February 22

I had quite a few great pictures for this day, but I think that I like this one the best. This was the sky from our balcony. It was beautiful as the sun set.

February 21

We were abe to catch up with some of the girls friends who were in Florida also. The twins had a friend who was about 8 miles kup the road and Dyl's Friend was about a mile up the road. They had a blast playing in the pool - even in the rain. Of course when the thunder started, they all got thrown out. Dyl's friend looks a lot like her - they could actually pass for sisters. You can't tell too much from this picture, but we were in Denny's later and I was looking at the two of them together - they look more alike then my twins.

February 20

Yup!! You guessed it, another pool day. Dylynn loves her cousin/"boyfriend" She tells me they are going to get married - I told her I will miss her when she moves to some backwoods town where you can marry your cousin. Here is my 15 year old nephew playing with his cousins. He is so good with all of them. He was picking them up and throwing them which they all loved - yup - he even tossed Ashie around a few times. At one point he and my Father In law were playing catch in the pool with Dylynn!!

February 19

Ahhh, the previously mentioned "bucket O booze" I had to take a picture of this. It really was a yummy little drink. Thank heavens we weren't driving anywhere.

February 18

Not a beautiful day, but we (well, the girls) were not about to be kept away from the pool. It was a little windy, and it sprinkled a little, but the pool was heated and the kids were wet anyway so they didn't care. I just sat in my big old sweatshirt and read!!

February 17

We drove to Tampa today and saw hubbies uncles. Three of them live in the area and one came from Sarasota. The girls took lots of pictures with their uncles. They love to see them. They also loved meeting their new cousin. One of Michaels Uncles has been dating someone with a 17 year old daughter. Here they are with one of the uncles. It's sad they don't get to see them more often.

February 16

Sadly we didn't take any pictures today. We went from Bryan's to Summer Bay. We were able to check in early to one unit so we all changed and hung out by the pool. Was introduced to a "Voo Doo Bucket" a mix of several different rums and juices - Yum-O. The bucket comes with two straws, but I wasn't sharing!! I did however remember to buy balloons for the girls to send up for Grammy's Birthday. I let them write a message on them and send them "up to heaven"

February 15

Got to go to Epcot!! They loved the Soarin thing - and Living With the Land - and the Circle of life - man that makes us humans look bad!!! We did the World Showcase. Had a lovely frozen Grey Goose Lemon Slushie and Grand Mariner Orange Slushie - Yum. Dylynn was thrilled to get her pcture taken with Belle. The best picture by far had to be Dyl making a "hidden Mickey" with her grapes. (On the train someone gave us a list of best kept secrets so she was on a search for all the Mickeys she could find.)

February 14

Another pool day. I know - poor us. The girls swam a better part of the day. They love the water. They are a bunch of fish.

They got to use Poppy as a diving board!!!

February 13

A little rainy today - we decided to head to Downtown Disney to catch a movie. Of course once we got there the weather wasn't too bad. Saw Over Her Dead Body - it was cute

February 12

Only pics for today were of the condo. Bryan's Spanish Cove - not a lot going on there, but the location is great for getting to the parks - literaly minutes - hop on the highway and there we are!!

February 11

This is such a happy face. Why do parents take their kids to places like Disney???? We go to Magic Kingdom - we buy tickets and to save money we also buy tickets to Epcot which we know we are going to with my sister in law and nephews. It was well over $600 - pretty close to $700 for the 5 of us for tickets for two parks. What do we get in return for trying to show our kids a good time??? I don't want to go on this, I don't want to go on that. Brookie had to go on Space Mountain, because I wanted to - haven't been on since my son was 8 - he's 25 now. She didn't want to go on Splash Mountain - lucky for her it was closed. Head over to Big Thunder Mountail - she doesn't want to go on that. Ok, I will stay off. Hubby of course is ticked off - can't blame him. I am watching this ride , waiting for Hubby, Ashy and "baby" Dyl to come off the ride, I finally call him and he tells me that yes they are coming off the ride, but not on the train. After waiting 1/2 an hour they almost get to the ride and Ash decided she can't go on the ride, she doesn't feel good. Now of course we might believe this if she didn't pull the same thing two years ago on the exact same ride. Of course we go to Dumbo and there is a girl about 12 whining, "I am bored" "My feet hurt" "Do we have to wait?" Hello, You are in freakin Disney be greatful you little brats!!!

February 10

We took this day to relax by the pool. There was not a lot going on at the condo. No bar and no kids activities, but the kids had a blast. They loved playing in the pool with daddy. The only problem was the pool had salt water. I wish I had taken a picture of their eyes. The girls and hubby had the redest eyes you have ever seen. I guess it was a mix of the salt water and whatever chemicals they have to keep in the pool.

February 9

Yesterday we got on the train to head to Florida. The girls love this trip for some reason. I of course was unable to sleep. 4 O'clock in the morning I get up to use the bathroom. Get back to my seat and I think maybe I will get a little more sleep. No suck luck!!! Someone starts poking me in the face. Yup!! She got up at 2 to get in the car to drive on Friday morning, didn't get to sleep until about 9 and here it is 4 am and she is up. Where do they get their energy??? I need some of that.
